Andrej Jovanic -
theorbo
Andrej Jovanic was born in Belgrade in 1977 and
studied classical guitar from the age of 9. Coming from a
very musical background, he was introduced early to
the various different types of lute and guitar, and soon
found himself to be strongly drawn to the fascinatingly
beautiful sounds of the renaissance and baroque lute and
Archlute (Theorbo). In 1996, Andre received a
scholarship to further his studies of the baroque
lute , at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
Andrei is now in wide demand in the UK as soloist and
chamber musician.
