2003
Our Introductory Series, comprised four evenings, introducing
the world of baroque music. The two programmes were presented twice,
each a month apart, in beautiful London venues. With this mini-series,
we aimed to refine the concept of Realm of Music, and with your feedback
tailor our events to your needs in order to launch the
2004 events as well as planning our larger 2005
series, Seeds of Genius.
The baroque era in music spans the period from about 1600 (the
invention of Opera) to 1750, the year Johann Sebastian Bach died
-- in his music we find a culmination of this magnificent
style. The 2003 Introductory Series gives a general overview
of the baroque by focusing on the beginnings of the baroque in
Spirit of the Golden Age
and on the great master whose music represents a culmination of the
baroque style, Johann Sebastian Bach, in
FlashBach!
The 2005 series, Seeds of Genius, will give more in-depth
coverage, focusing on four main European countries and great
masters representative of those countries.
