A Feast of the Seasons
A Sumptuous banquet based on Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Each of the four concertos is performed before a course which is themed according to that season (starter for "Spring", mains for "Summer", etc...) As an intriguing extra, an Italian actress/speaker reads the sonnets on which each of the concerti is based before each performance.
6.30pm: Guests arrive for a champagne reception
7.00pm: Guests are seated in the banquet room for a performance of "Spring" followed by a starter of spring themed food and wine
7.30pm: Performance of "Summer" followed by the main course of seasonal summer food and wine
8.15pm: Performance of "Autumn" followed by autumnally themed dessert
8.45pm: Performance of "Winter" after which the guests can get up and mingle with the musicians while being served ice wine or winter themed afters
